A Trip to Sharjah – Visiting the Famous Tourist Places in the City

I always enjoy traveling with my family or friends to new and famous places all over the world. This time I got an opportunity to travel to UAE with my family for a short stay. It was a time off from my work and so I decided to make the most of it by exploring a country I always longed to visit. My trip, a personal one, was to Sharjah, one of the biggest and most famous cities of the UAE.

A Comfortable Flight to Sharjah from Delhi

With innumerable airlines operating direct and connecting flights to the UAE from India, I had enough options to book a flight. And I booked the Economy Class tickets with the Qatar Airlines for all of us. My hometown, Faridabad being near Delhi, I could board the flight from the Delhi International Airport. The airline is one of the best in the region to travel to the Middle East from India. And it departs from its operating base at the Terminal 3 at IGI Airport.

The in-flight services and amenities are of world standards and the airline provided the best services to the passengers even in the Economy Class. The food and beverages served in the flight were warm and delicious. The comfortable seats have enough legroom to offer a relaxed journey. The in-flight entertainment options in the flight were amazing as it offered many Bollywood movies. The flight reached the Sharjah Airport at 4 pm and we boarded a cab to travel straight to our hotel.

Enjoying the Luxurious Stay at Centro Hotel in Sharjah

I could find enough choices of hotels for the stay in Sharjah; nevertheless, I was impressed by the facilities offered by Centro Sharjah, a popular four-star property in the city. Looking modern, the hotel sports all the latest features and amenities for the guests from all parts of the world. It is located near the Sharjah International Airport. I booked a Two Bedroom Suite for it can conveniently accommodate three of us, my father, mother and me.

I was quite impressed by the latest amenities and services offered to the tourists. Some of the facilities worth noting are:

Bar and lounge
Free Wi-Fi for the tourists
Gym cum fitness centre
Business centre and conference halls

We tried the food at the in-house restaurant in the hotel and found quite tasty. We had some of the local cuisines as they look quite tantalizing.

Exploring Places in Sharjah

My intention of visit to Sharjah was to visit a few attractions. The first in my itinerary was the Sharjah Archaeology Museum. The museum is one of the sought-after places in UAE and it has lots of things to learn and know about the country. I captured a few of the artefacts in the museum.

Next, we moved on to visit the Central Market of the city. The market is also known as Blue Souk. The market has a stunning architecture and lots of shops with different types of goods. I did some shopping and then visited Al Qasba, which has one of the best eating places in the city and enjoy great boat rides. It was getting late and we had to return for we had our return flight to Delhi scheduled in the night.

Undoubtedly, it was a good short trip to UAE and we had a lot of memories to cherish for a long time.
