As we keep working hard, and climbing the corporate ladder, the stress mounts up even more and we will have to keep working harder. This leaves us with very little leisure time to ourselves. This is quite unfortunate, as being able to relax and have some time away from work is essential to both our physical and mental health, as well as quality of life. Recently, I was told that I need to go to Madurai on a business trip. I was quite elated. Madurai is a city that I have a heard a lot of favourable things about, and there’s a lot to see in addition to the famous temples. I was especially quite excited to try the local cuisines of Madurai. Overall, I was quite excited for my trip there, so I started planning for it early.

I had been really looking forward to trying out some good restaurants in Madurai. I am an unabashed foodie and I love to taste the local delicacies and visit the most popular restaurants in a place to better understand the food culture. I planned to do the same at Madurai, and after some research I found that Murugan Idly Shop and Phil’s Bistro are two of the most popular restaurants in Madurai.
First, I went to visit Phil’s Bistro. They serve Italian and American cuisines here. I ordered their popular pasta with some fries and soft drinks. It was a delicious and filling meal, and the food was fresh as well. The ambience at the restaurant was good too. Next, I went to Murugan Idly Shop, a restaurant that serves up some delicious South Indian food. I had an amazing breakfast of its famous Idlis.
